Thespians flock to Ankara for a fantastic theater festival! The International Ankara Theater Festival has grown over the years to accommodate several types of performances including theater plays and modern dance, along with workshops, discussions and panels on acting and the theater world.
The main goal of the festival is to reach society through art, mainly by keeping a vivid national and international interest in amateur theater groups as well as making an effort to promote them through festivals such as this, and also by providing them financial and organizational support. However, the event invites both professional and amateur groups to participate in the competition. The list of guests includes European, Asian, and Turkish performers, thus creating the opportunity for a multicultural dialog between the public and groups, while offering the possibility to get acquainted with the works of young international play writers and their work.
